Established in 2013.
What is Phorage? It is the culmination of 3 different hospitality professionals with over 30 years combined experience who joined forces to build a modern vietnamese concept that can provide quality food made with exceptional products.
Traditional “pho” restaurants are riddled with poor quality proteins and rampant abuse of MSG as a staple flavoring agent; at Phorage you won’t have to worry about this! We also pride ourselves on further innovating our concept so please feel free to contact us directly for suggestions on how we can better serve you!
The Space: The space was designed in house and built in under 3 weeks with good old fashioned hard work that the owners did themselves. 3 weeks?! Yes a little of your own elbow grease can go pretty far! Special thanks to Johnny Duron for guiding us in the construction process.
Meet the Chef & Co-Founder
Chef Perry is a Los Angelino by way of San Francisco by way of Brooklyn and has brought along all the experiences of his incredible culinary path into the birth of his neighborhood friendly take on modern Vietnamese cuisine.
His attention to ingredients and technique are apparent in the food and his mantra of minimalist simplicity translates well with the bold flavors of the well composed menu. If you see Chef Perry at the restaurant feel free to chat with him he’s got a ton of stories and if you’re a chef that needs some guidance he’s always willing to lend an open ear! Keep an eye out for him on TV as well (he’s appeared on shows such as Esquire networks Knife Fight and Beat Bobby Flay)
